Collaboration for the Community

Thursday 11 April, 2024

Dan and Stewart recently attended an informal meeting with other local support agencies at The Shed for an insightful discussion on how we can collaborate, improve access and offer additional assistance to the individuals and families we serve.

Thanks to Alison ’Al’ Johnston and her colleagues at The Shed for organising an informal chat for local support agencies to meet over a cuppa, and a breakfast roll. Stewart and Dan had the pleasure of joining them and others, including staff from the CnES family support team, Stornoway Free Church, and Safe Families, for an insightful discussion to promote mutual learning and encourage stronger ongoing collaboration routes through more regular and shared events.

The aim is to enable The Shed to enhance access and provide additional support to individuals and families that we all serve. We anticipate continuing these discussions next month, hopefully with additional partners.

Stay tuned for updates from Fiona Douglas, Manager at The Shed, and her team, as well as the coordination efforts led by Al. To do this, visit their Facebook page for their latest updates: – https://www.facebook.com/theshedstornoway
