It’s always a pleasure to speak with community groups about our collaborative work, especially when it’s with so many familiar faces from the Point area. We recently gave a talk to the Tiumpan Young at Heart Club at Tiumpanhead Community Centre, alongside long-time friend and colleague Donald Morrison, Home Energy Specialist with Home Energy Scotland.
No matter how many times we attend events like this, there’s always something new to take away. It’s also a real joy to simply spend time with the group – sharing conversation, a cuppa, and maybe a slice of cake 😊
Donald and the Muirneag team are keen to find new ways to support households, especially in helping to deliver the Warmer Homes Scotland programme and the grants and loans schemes. We’re always looking to learn how we can make it easier for people to access support and reduce their energy costs over the long term.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank both the Tiumpan Young at Heart Club and their close neighbours – Cairdean Òg Allt nan Gall, the largest over-60s friendship group in the Western Isles – for always welcoming us so warmly. Thanks also to our partners, including Donald, who continue to join us in these meaningful conversations.
