Over the past two months, our technician, Kenny, has dedicated over 100 hours to restoring the Garrabost Mill Trust’s Model T Ford truck, which won first prize in the Classic Motors section at the Point Show. After thorough diagnostics and fitting a number of replacement and new parts, Kenny’s next challenge was to get behind the wheel and master driving the truck on the open road.

Following the judging, Kenny presented the truck at the Point Show, proudly displaying it next to the Energy Support Unit stand. He explained the restoration process to attendees and gave a driving demonstration around the fairground, contributing to another successful show. The truck will be returned to the Garrabost Mill garage, where Kenny has been entrusted with its maintenance.

Point and Sandwick Trust donated the 103-year-old vehicle to the Mill Trust earlier this year. It is an exact replica of the Model T truck that was owned and operated at the Mill nearly a century ago.
