We express our ongoing gratitude to Energy Action Scotland, Scotland’s national charity dedicated to combating fuel poverty, for their critical role as advocates for fuel-poor households in Scotland, as they mark their 40th anniversary since their founding.
Stewart, EAS’ Convenor, recently attended the Parliamentary reception event at Holyrood: “Energy Action Scotland at 40 – Fighting Fuel Poverty for Four Decades.” During this event, he engaged in positive discussions with many MSPs and industry experts in attendance, including the chair of the Scottish Fuel Poverty Panel.
Among the attendees commemorating this event were Dame Jackie Baillie MSP, along with members of EAS including energy companies and representatives from third-sector organisations such as Inclusion Scotland. Bill Scott, Senior Policy Advisor at Inclusion Scotland delivered an excellent presentation highlighting the profound impact of fuel poverty on people’s lives.
We take this opportunity to congratulate Frazer and his team at EAS on reaching this significant milestone. At Muirneag, we pledge to continue supporting their efforts as they strive to make a tangible difference and work towards a Scotland where everyone can enjoy a life free from fuel poverty.
