At the request of Point and Sandwick Trust, Stewart took part in the Scottish Government’s Cross Party Group on Islands – Island Enterprise meeting on 27 February 2025. The group explored different enterprise models across island communities, with community energy highlighted as a key driver in supporting local economic activity and resilience.
Stewart was also invited to a special Islands Parliamentary Showcase event on 2 April at the Scottish Parliament. The event provided an opportunity to connect with other island groups, MSPs, ministers, and the Deputy First Minister, helping to raise the profile of community-led energy and enterprise initiatives from across the islands.
