Tighean Innse Gall (TIG), Western Isles Community Care Forum (WICCF), and the Point and Sandwick Energy Support Unit (ESU) continue to work closely to support households across the Point and Sandwick area. Through a trusted fast-track referral system, we offer joined-up support to tackle energy costs, health issues, and financial strain.

Each partner brings unique expertise: TIG offers energy saving advice to reduce unnecessary expenditure, crisis payments, smaller measures and white goods; the ESU delivers grants of up to £1,500 for energy costs and helps address damp and condensation in under-heated homes, funded by the Point and Sandwick Trust; and WICCF supports carers and families with practical aid, training, and financial advice. Together, we also link residents with wider energy efficiency schemes and financial help.

This partnership delivers lasting benefits, from improved health to reduced stress, ensuring households can live in warmth and security. Notably, Catriona (WICCF) and Martha (TIG) have made the highest number of referrals, showing the key role they play in reaching those most in need. At the heart of it all is a shared ‘Client First’ approach, delivering tailored, meaningful support to our most vulnerable neighbours.
